We are
delighted to announce that Peter Foggitt MA (Cantab),
MMus, will succeed Lee Dunleavy as Director of Music
from September 2014. Peter studied at Fettes College,
Edinburgh, and at Chetham’s School of Music in
Manchester before going up to Cambridge where he was
Senior Choral Scholar of King’s College. Following
Cambridge he studied piano and singing at Trinity
College of Music and earned the degree of Master of
Music at the |
Guildhall
School of Music and Drama. He has recorded
extensively as a choral singer, as vocal soloist
and as organist, and is a highly-regarded
composer with dozens of compositions to his
credit. He is Director of the innovative vocal
ensemble Cries of London, and the Musical
Director of re:sound Musical Theatre. He has
served as Baritone Soloist and Deputy Organist
and Conductor of the Priory Church of St
Bartholomew the Great in the City of London, and
is at present Director of Music of All Saints’
Church, Putney. Peter writes:
 |
I am delighted
and honoured to be carrying on the tradition and
exceptional quality of music-making that Lee Dunleavy
and his equally distinguished predecessors have created
at All Saints'. In the short time that I spent with the
Choirs at interview, I was hugely impressed with the
standard of singing, of discipline, and of commitment to
the liturgy. I look forward to developing these elements
further; I look forward also to working with the Friends
of All Saints' Music in promoting and enhancing the
choir's public profile. |
