The Choirs of All Saints' Northampton, conducted by their
newly-appointed Director of Music, Peter Foggitt, present a
programme of the most wonderful English music. From Handel's
epic Zadok the Priest to Sir Charles Hubert Parry's
coronation anthem I was glad, this one-hour concert -
which will be followed by a wine reception in the exquisite
Restoration surroundings of All Saints' Church - takes in
the best of English music over four centuries.
Featuring rising star operatic tenor Aidan Coburn, the
programme concludes with a newly-written work documenting
the riches-to-rags story of Thomas Becket, sometime
Archbishop of Canterbury, who was put on trial at
Northampton Castle 850 years ago. |
Tickets cost £10 with £7.50 concessions (UB40, Student Card,
Pensioners, which proof must be provided at the door)
and are available for purchase by credit or debit card on
